i’m aislinn (ace-lynn), a mother, wife, artist, potter and educator. you can find me near the atlantic ocean in nova scotia. i love the ocean, i’m obsessed with the sky & have an affinity for anything miniature. i have loved marking art for as long as i can recall.

when i was a child i would paint and bake with my grammy. in high school i opted for fine arts over drama - standing in front of everyone? no thanks! while at university for my business degree, i took several fine arts classes as extra credits including stained glass - so fun! but art as a career path was not a narrative i had. after my degree when it was time to adult, i did the things i was ‘supposed to do’ and i didn’t spend much time with my creativity.

after several years and a few different jobs, i felt disconnected and lost i started hand lettering and calligraphy as an outlet, and eventually started selling my work. then i left my job in 2019 for self employment, as a stationer, in the wedding industry. i made hand lettered signs, hand drawn art & calligraphy for stationery, and did custom watercolor pieces.

in a whirlwind to follow I got engaged, became a mom to a premie, closed my stationery business, was diagnosed with adhd, and had my second child - in the span of 3.5 years. i felt lost, unsure what i like and didn’t, and the self doubt i had long struggled with was fed by what felt like a failure in closing my business.

following these big transitions in my life, i began my journey with soul work; I joined a women’s circle, built practices of journalling, meditation, and yoga that worked for me, and found my way back to my creativity. in the end it was a journey back to my true self. i learned more about myself in 3 years than i probably did for the previous 32.

now i raise my two little humans, who are now 5 and 3, nurture my marriage, and share things i am passionate about. some of that is my visual art, and my small batch ceramics. the rest is about how i move through the world as a woman with adhd, creating a life that makes sense for me, and live authentically even if – especially if - it means being seen.
